ALBANY, NY – The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), have signed free agent faceoff specialist Zac Tucci, pending league approval.
Tucci, a rookie to the NLL, recently graduated from the University of North Carolina. During his time with the Tarheels, he was their primary faceoff specialist for four years and never had a season below 50%. During his senior season, Tucci won and attempted career highs in faceoffs, going 238-438. Following college, he was picked up as an undrafted free agent by the Waterdogs of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) where he made the 25-man roster out of training camp. He appeared in four games for the Waterdogs last season and won 43% of his faceoff attempts and scooped up 19 ground balls.
