ALBANY, NEW YORK – The Albany FireWolves, the Capital Region’s Indoor Lacrosse team playing out of the Times Union Center beginning in December, today announce that Mike Falvo will be the inaugural season Public Address Announcer and in-arena voice of the team.
A Utica, New York native, Falvo has spent the past 25 years behind a microphone. Falvo began announcing as a sophomore at Frankfort-Schuyler high school for the women’s basketball team, eventually becoming the voice of Frankfort Athletics. Since then, he has held the microphone on basketball courts, in MMA cages, and boxing and wrestling rings not just here in the Capital Region, but worldwide.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Falvo served as a Radio/TV Producer for the American Forces Network earning Air Force level acclaim for his work in Sports News Broadcasting. This also allowed him to announce and host various events in locations such as the Azores, Portugal and Baghdad, Iraq; a broadcast career that he still enjoys with the New York State Assembly. Most recently, Falvo spent two seasons as the in-arena voice for the Arena Football League Champion Albany Empire.
