  • Social Media Internship

    Albany FireWolves Social Media Internship (Fall 2024 | Spring 2025)

    The Albany FireWolves are a proud member of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), playing out of MVP Arena in Albany, NY throughout the winter and spring of 2024-25. This professional box lacrosse team offers opportunities to current college-level students looking to gain real-world social media experience, build their portfolio, and position themselves for a successful career upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide practical experience, significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements and hands-on opportunities for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence. This internship is available for full- or part-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit for the fall or spring internship season and the 2024-25 NLL season.

     

    The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2024-25 Social Media Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, and capable of being adaptable among tight deadlines. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for developing social media campaigns, engaging content, and digital assets to be used throughout the course of the season.

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
    • Create weekly and monthly content calendars to promote company brands on various social media platforms
    • Create and distribute content across all social media platforms
    • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns
    • Perform social media marketing research and assist on campaign strategy
    • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
    • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
    • Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
    • Help create and edit short-form videos
    • Assist with photo/video content shoots
    • Ensure brand message is consistent

     Qualifications:

    • Must be available to work ALL Albany FireWolves home games
    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
    • Knowledge of social media analytics and reporting.
    • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports industry.

    Albany FireWolves Sales and Partnerships Internship (Fall 2024 | Spring 2025)

This professional box lacrosse team offers opportunities to current college-level students looking to gain real-world ticket sales and sponsorship experience, and position themselves for a successful career upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide practical experience, significant challenges, varying daily sales requirements and hands-on opportunities for inventiveness, resourcefulness, and excellence. This internship is available for full- or part-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit for the fall or spring internship season and the 2024-25 NLL season.

     

    The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2024-25 Sales and Partnerships Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, self-motivated, customer oriented, and capable of being adaptable in a fast-paced environment. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for assisting the ticket and corporate sales teams throughout the course of the season.

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Conduct outbound sales calls to book sponsorship meetings with prospects and to promote season, group, and single game tickets.
    • Assist the sales department in day-to-day operations, prospecting, and fulfillment.
    • Assist in pre-season, in-season, post-season, and game day activations revolving around the delivery of NLL ticket experience deliverables and sponsor fulfillment.
    • Ensure customer and client data is accurate and detailed in CRM system.
    • Assist with game day responsibilities of the sales department.
    • Attend multiple events to network, generate sales leads, promote the team, and sell tickets to home games.
    • Assist with the organization and execution of sponsorship assets.
    • Support the creation of sponsorship decks and proposals tailored to prospects.
    • Assist in managing the sales pipeline and tracking progress toward sales goals.
    • Gather and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of sponsorships and partnerships.

     Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
    • Must be available to work ALL Albany FireWolves home games within your interning semester, which includes nights and weekends, beginning up to 5 hours prior to game-time
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
    • Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports industry.
    • Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus.

    Albany FireWolves Game Operations Internship (Fall 2024 | Spring 2025)

This professional box lacrosse team offers opportunities to current college-level students looking to gain real-world gameday presentation and operations experience, understand the intricacies of live event production, and position themselves for a successful career upon graduation. Our emphasis is to provide practical experience, significant challenges, varying daily operational requirements and hands-on opportunities for creativity, resourcefulness, and excellence. This internship is available for full- or part-time candidates, eligible to work for college credit for the fall or spring internship season and the 2024-25 NLL season.

     

    The Albany FireWolves are currently seeking motivated individuals for our 2024-25 Game Operations Internship Program. The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, capable of proactive problem solving, and a critical thinker. A qualified candidate should be able to work independently and within a team, handle multiple projects and tasks, and achieve objectives set forth by their supervisor and themselves. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for assisting the gameday production team throughout the course of the season.

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Contribute to the planning and execution of in-game promotions, halftime shows, and interactive activities encompassing fan engagement.
    • Assist in crowd management and guest services to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for fans.
    • Contribute to the setup and breakdown of game day materials, including signage, promotional assets, and equipment.
    • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all game day operations run smoothly.
    • Help manage the logistics of in-game promotions and contests.
    • Direct in-game entertainment features and personnel, including national anthem performances, halftime shows, and special guest appearances.
    • Assist with the timing and execution of in-game elements such as music cues, player introductions, and sponsor activations.

     Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Must be available to work ALL Albany FireWolves home games throughout the season, which includes nights and weekends, beginning up to 5 hours prior to game-time
    • Present yourself in a professional manner in both appearance and behavior
    • Have a positive attitude and be proactive in identifying operational challenges
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and playoff games as necessary.
    • Passion for sports and a desire to learn about the sports industry.
    • Basic knowledge of audio/visual equipment and production is a plus.

The ideal candidate for this internship is organized, creative, and capable of being adaptable among tight deadlines. Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for developing digital and printed assets to be used throughout the course of the season.

     Job Responsibilities:

    • Develop eye-catching graphics for social media, website, digital campaigns, and print materials.
    • Create promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and digital ads.
    • Design game day programs, concourse signage, and other event-related materials.
    • Develop graphics for digital billboards and arena displays.
    • Create layouts for newsletters, brochures, and other publications.
    • Design infographics and visual elements for press releases and presentations.
    • Maintain brand consistency across all design projects.
    • Work on logo design and branding projects as needed.
    • Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to brainstorm new creative concepts and captivating content
    • Assist with Albany FireWolves home games as needed

     Qualifications:

    • Must be willing to provide a portfolio of previous work experience as it relates to graphic design.
    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in content creation platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)

Candidates selected for a role within the organization will be given the opportunity to have a hand in multiple aspects of executing an Albany FireWolves home game and must be reliable for developing motion graphics, videos, and other media assets to be used throughout the course of the season.

      Job Responsibilities:

    • Assist in planning, shooting, and producing video content, including player interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, and promotional videos.
    • Capture game highlights and other live event footage.
    • Edit video content for social media, website, email campaigns, and in-arena displays.
    • Create highlight reels, recap videos, and promotional clips.
    • Edit long-form content for features, documentaries, and other special projects.
    • Incorporate graphics, animations, and special effects into videos.
    • Ensure all video content aligns with the Albany FireWolves’ branding and quality standards.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and storyboards.
    • Create short-form video content optimized for various social media platforms
    • Assist with game day operations and other events as needed.

     Qualifications:

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
    • Experience with camera operation, lighting, and audio equipment.
    • Strong understanding of video production techniques and storytelling.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
