ALBANY FIREWOLVES PARTNER WITH MOHAWK CHEVROLET AS PRESENTING SPONSOR OF MARVEL SUPER HERO™ NIGHT

Albany, NY – The Albany FireWolves of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced their partnership with Mohawk Chevrolet as the presenting sponsor of Marvel Super Hero Night on Saturday, March 2 as the FireWolves face the New York Riptide at MVP Arena. All fifteen teams in the NLL will host a Marvel Super Hero™ Night during the 2023-24 season as part of a league wide sponsorship between the NLL and Marvel. The FireWolves will be one of the few teams to have a presenting sponsor for their Marvel night thanks to the generosity of Mohawk Chevrolet.

“At all FireWolves games there is something for everyone,” said Chris Porreca President of the Albany FireWolves. “Marvel Super Hero™ Night is no different with a custom FireWolves comic book, that features an Indigenous story and ties perfectly into our team and the history of our great sport. This special evening is made possible with the support of Mohawk Chevrolet and the vision of Andy Guelcher and his team.”

Marvel Super Hero™ Night will kick off on Saturday, March 2 with the first 3,000 fans receiving a FireWolves themed Marvel comic book that includes FireWolves players on the cover. Fans will be encouraged to dress up as their favorite Marvel characters and there will be Marvel themed activities for fans throughout the night. Special Marvel themed FireWolves merchandise will also be available.

“We are proud to partner with the Albany Firewolves for their Marvel Super Hero™ Night,” said Andrew Guelcher President of Mohawk Chevrolet. “Local sports serve as the heartbeat of a community, weaving together the fabric of camaraderie, passion, and pride. They remind us that greatness isn’t just found on grand stages, but flourishes in the grassroots arenas and stadiums where dreams are nurtured, and aspirations take flight.”

Mohawk Chevrolet’s support ensures that the Marvel Super Hero™ Night will be a memorable one for FireWolves fans.

“We thank Andy Guelcher and Mohawk Chevrolet for partnering with the Albany FireWolves for this season and, specifically, for such a special night,” said Phil Bardsley Director of Partnerships for the Albany FireWolves. “This partnership is just one of many that illustrates Mohawk Chevrolet’s commitment to the community and to help drive professional sports in our community.”
