HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: PRESENTED BY DAVE & BUSTER’S – ALBANY

Albany, NY – The Albany FireWolves are excited to name the first High School Student-Athletes of the Week presented by Dave & Buster’s – Albany. These two student-athletes have shown their commitment to athletics, to their community, and to working hard in the classroom.  

These student-athletes will receive a prize pack courtesy of Dave & Buster’s – Albany and tickets to an upcoming Albany FireWolves game. The student-athletes will be honored during the FireWolves’ next home game on Saturday, April 6 for their accomplishments on and off the field. The Albany FireWolves Student-Athletes of the Week for the Week of March 18 are Marcus Robinson from Mechanicville High School and Josie Bullock from Shenendehowa High School.  

Marcus Robinson – Mechanicville High School – Junior – Boy’s Lacrosse 

Marcus is playing his 4th year of Varsity lacrosse as a junior. Marcus is a starter and has changed positions due to the needs of his team. He is always willing to do what is best for the team and is the ultimate team player. Marcus also plays football, where he is a captain, and participates in indoor track and field. Marcus is always willing to provide rides for his teammates to make sure they are able to attend practice. Marcus was recently inducted into the National Honor Society due to maintaining a high GPA. Marcus volunteers for both his city’s youth football and lacrosse teams. Marcus also volunteers for his local community center, church, and the local organization Kelly’s Angels. Marcus is the true definition of a leader on and off the field. 

Josie Bullock – Shenendehowa High School – Senior – Girl’s Lacrosse 

Josie is the definition of student athlete. Josie is a three-year starter for the Shen girl’s varsity lacrosse team. Josie starts her senior year as a captain looking to lead her team on and off the field. Not only does Josie thrive on the field but also in the classroom. Josie has been a NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete earning an average of 90 or higher throughout her high school career. Josie will be continuing her lacrosse career at the University of Tampa next year. 

Congratulations to Marcus and Josie! The FireWolves wish them continued success in the classroom and on the field this spring sports season. The FireWolves and Dave & Buster’s -Albany are proud to be a part of the Capital Region community and support youth and high school athletics throughout the area. More winners will be chosen each week during the high school spring sports season.
