The Albany FireWolves Student-Athletes of the Week for the Week of April 8 are Logan Linn from Shenendehowa High School and Mia Tyler from Colonie Central High School.

Logan Linn – Shenendehowa High School – Senior – Boy’s Lacrosse

Logan is a four year varsity defenseman. He is a leader on the field always cheering and calling plays for the defense. He holds a 90 average in school and anytime he is asked Logan volunteers with the Shenendehowa lacrosse club and is continuously helping at home or with family, doing manual labor. Logan works hard to be a powerful part of his lacrosse team and works to maintain his GPA in school, while also working part time.

Mia Tyler – Colonie Central High School – Junior – Girl’s Lacrosse

Mia is a second year starting defender for the Colonie Girl’s Lacrosse team. Mia’s work ethic and intensity is second to none and she is always tasked to guard the best offensive players on opposing teams. On Tuesday, April 2nd Mia was struck by a shot in the face during a game against a league opponent. Mia plead with her family to let her stay with her team until the game ended because she wanted to be there for her teammates. Mia is a role model on and off the field. She plays basketball for the Tay Fisher TeamVibez program. She also volunteers to coach youth in basketball and lacrosse.

Congratulations to Logan and Mia! The FireWolves wish them continued success in the classroom and on the field this spring sports season.
