Mike Tesoriero

Radio Color Analyst
Mike Tesoriero

Mike Tesoriero joins the FireWolves as the Color Commentator for the organization’s radio broadcast team.  A Capital Region native, Tesoriero is heavily involved in the youth lacrosse scene within the local community and is also a volunteer coach at Shaker High School.  He also currently serves as the radio Color Commentator for the University at Albany Men’s Lacrosse team and has done so since 2018.

Tesoriero might be a name that local lacrosse fans remember from his playing days as well. He was an All-American attack at Herkimer College, where he played for two seasons in 1990 and 1991. In the latter year, he was the leading scorer in the nation with 82 goals and 23 assists, leading his team to the National Championship game before falling short in a 20-19 overtime thriller. Tesoriero then transferred to University at Albany when his name can still be found in the school’s record books. In 1992, he scored 62 goals – ranked third all-time in a single season in program history behind only Miles Thompson and Connor Fields. Tesoriero was named a Top-50 player in program history in 2018.
