FIREWOLVES TO FACE HALIFAX IN OPENING ROUND OF 2024 NLL PLAYOFFS

Albany, NY – The Albany FireWolves will face the Halifax Thunderbirds at MVP Arena on Sunday, April 28 at 3pm in the single-elimination Quarterfinals of the 2024 National Lacrosse League Playoffs, which will begin this weekend.

The opening round game will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU, ESPN+, and TSN+.

The FireWolves have been the best story of the NLL season as they have turned it around from a 3-15 record last year to earn the #3 seed in the 2024 NLL Playoffs and finish the regular season with a record of 11-7. They secured the first ever home playoff game in the team’s history since moving to Albany in 2021 after defeating the New York Riptide this past weekend 16-10 at the Nassau Coliseum.

The winner of Sunday’s contest will move on to face the winner of the San Diego Seals and Panther City Lacrosse Club in the best-of-three Semifinal round, scheduled to commence Thursday, May 2, through Sunday, May 5, and continue Thursday, May 9, through Sunday, May 12.

The FireWolves need you at MVP Arena this Sunday, April 28 at 3 pm as they begin their NLL playoff run! Fans are encouraged to wear black to the game. It’s officially a Black Out!
