ALBANY, NY – The National Lacrosse League (NLL) today announced a new date and time for Game 3 of the 2024 NLL Finals featuring the Albany FireWolves and Buffalo Bandits in a best-of-three game series. If necessary, Game 3 of the 2024 NLL Finals will be played on Saturday, May 25 at 5 pm. The game will be nationally broadcast on ESPN2 immediately following the NCAA Men’s National Lacrosse Championship Semifinals.
This date change was possible thanks to the Albany Firebirds of the Arena Football League (AFL) moving their previously scheduled home game at MVP Arena on Saturday, May 25 to one day earlier on Friday, May 24.
“This is a great opportunity for the Capital Region and our professional sports teams,” said Albany FireWolves Team President Chris Porreca. “I appreciate the support that Firebirds Team President Jeff Levack and his staff have given us all season long and during our historic playoff run here in Albany. We know the entire community will be FORGED IN FIRE during Memorial Day Weekend with both the Firebirds and the FireWolves games.”
Both the Albany FireWolves and Albany Firebirds play their home games out of the MVP Arena in downtown Albany. The FireWolves are proud to have the support of the Firebirds to bring the best professional sports experiences to the Capital Region.

The Albany Firebirds will host the Minnesota Myth in their Salute to Service Night on Friday, May 24th at 7 pm. Special pricing will be available for military and first responders as the Firebirds honor those who serve all game long.
The Albany FireWolves need the support of the Capital Region as the 2024 NLL Finals begin with Game 1 at MVP Arena on Friday, May 17 at 7 pm against the Buffalo Bandits. Fans are encouraged to wear black as we blackout MVP Arena in support of the FireWolves.
